AUCKLAND v. TAEANAKI. THE TARANAKI TEAMS. (By Reporter.) Auckland, Last Night. The Taranaki team arrived this morning after a fair trip. They were met by Messrs. Sheahan and Murray, of the Auckland Union, and driven to town in brakes. This afternoon the team indulged in ia useful practice, and this evening were entertained at the Boxing Championship Carnival. The prospects of annexing the Shield are considered fair. The Auckland team will not be definitely selected till the morning. Cunningham, Morse, Otterson and Murray are unable to play, from various causes. The Taranaki team was selected tonight as follows:—Full-back, Hill; threequarters, Anderson, S'tohr and Cameron; iWeighths, Dive and Mynott; halfback, Brown; wing forward, Taylor; forwards, Osborne, Cain, Tamu, Boon, Crowley, Sheahan and Whittington. Emergencies, Ryan and Ward. INTER-COLLEGE TOURNAMENT. WELLINGTON 'OVERWHELMS CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ~ Wellington, Last Night. The final match of the -inter-college Rugby tournament took place to-day and was largely attended by the public. It. was a one-sided match, and ended in victory for Wellington College over Christ's College by 18 points to nil.
