ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
FOUND DROWNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. A telegram was received by the Inspector of Police to-night stating that a man named Fallon had been found drowned in a creek at Wade. A BOY KILLED. Auckland, Thursday.
| A boy ten years old. son of Mr. D. Craig, of Ellerslie in climbing on a waggon was caught in a wheel ana killed. DEATH FROM BRONCHITIS. Auckland, Thursday. Miss Clements, aged 50, died in a cab whilst being taken to the hospital. She was suffering from bronchitis. STUDENT'S ACCIDENTAL DEATH. Timaru, Last Night. At the inquest on Bernard Jones, a promising pupil teacher killed by a train, a verdict of accidental death was returned. It was stated that he had been accustomed to sit on the timbers of a small bridge over a storm-water channel, and it is supposed that he was asleep and when awakened by the train, became confused.
APPRENTICE KILLED. Dnnedin, September 1. A fatal accident occurred at the Milburn Lime and Cement Company's quarry at 1.30 p.m. to-day. Two men, Richard Napier Morris and Edward Rix, both residing at Ravensliourne, were engaged by a firm of contractors on the erection of a bridge 'connecting the quarry and lime kiln. A heavy gale of wind "blew down one of the trestles, which carried two others away, and Morris fell forty feet and Rix thirty-five feet. The latter 'died at 6.20 p.m. as a result of injuries, but Morris escaped without serious injury, and was aible to leave for home. Rix was an apprentice on the job, and was about eighteen years of age.
