PERSONAL PURCHASES IN ENGLAND. Whilst in England, Mr. J. C. Morey, of Morey and Son, drapers, Devon street, had a splendid opportunity of securing a large shipment of the latest and most fashionable goals. The goods arrived by the Turakina, and will be opened up at the Devon street store in the course of a few days. The goods include a big consignment of L'eter Pan collars, exactly similar to those selling in London up to 4s (kl each; long si.k scarves in biack-and-vvhite and white to sell from 30s to 355, beautiful goods much worn at Home. Then there will be Moreen skirts, dressing gowns, jackets, etc., in great variety; sunshades in all the latest designs and colors—the linest lot the firm has ever had. Ah idea of their beauty will be gathered when it is pointed out that London prices for some of these goods run as high as 70s. There is also a line of very special dust coats, mostly craim and white. Blouses will no doubt be in great demand, there bein 401) to choose from, some very choice ones amongst them. A large assortment of ibuckles, hat pins, and all the latest novelties are being forwarded, and there will he a fine selection of belts. Tussore coats are much worn at Home, also linen coats nearly all full length, and a hatch of these is included, together with a number of black capes for elderly ladies. ' Ribbons have been forwarded in all the newest colors and designs; white linen embroidered skirts, white linen costumes, Shantung costumes, white embroidered Empire gowns, all of which arc being worn at Home. •Motor veils, Maltese scarves, fancy handkerchiefs, Torchon laces and insertions, Maltese lace hosiery in plain and fancy, will be shown in great numbers. There will be a special display of hats, trimmed and ready to wear, all in the latest styles and, colors, and a splendid lot of trimmings. Other lines will be floral voiles and muslins in latest designs, floral and silk striped delaines, fancy black and white muslins, striped aepliyrs, cambric, white embroidered iblousings, French organdies, English tussore silk, and other lines too numerous to mention. These goods were all well bought, and should open up well. Paisley patterns on dark ground are the latest, and are selling well in London, and crepons are also much worn. Morey and Son have them coming out in all the newest designs. Mr. 'Morey has been fortunate in placing orders for cotton goods early, as prices have since advanced considerably. Boxed embroidered robes, wide all-over embroidered and floumungs will open well. There will be about 300 blouse ends to choose from, and «. nice variety of fancy cashmeres, camisole embroidery and headings in cambric and muslin, cream and colored silk striped voiles and'all newest dress materials, silk all-over laces and insertions to match, striped tussore, striped taffeta, black and white striped taffeta, Paisley foulard, Empire renaissance. All these goods are the latest for blousings, being in four-yard lengths. 'There is also a fine assortment of children's wear, etc.
