NEW CONTROL. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Paris, August 31. In consequence of a charge of "modernism," Marc Sangnier, founder of the society known as Le Sillon, has withdrawn from the leadership. The bishops now control the Sillonists, who will be renamed "Catholic Sillonists." The victory of the Conservatives, who resented the alliance between Catholicism and Republicanism is now complete.
