At the quarterly meeting; of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, it was defcided that a letter be sent to Mr. Goldie, late secretary of the Associa- . tion, and be put in the form of an illuminated address, and presented in recognition of his services. The question of whether a delegate should us,e his discretion or act m accordance with instruction from the association he represents was discussed at length. It was resolved to defer further consideration till next meeting, so that the opinions of the associations ■ could be ascertained. The appointment of a paid secretary was held over.
