EGMONT-WANGANUI HUNT CLUB. MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night The Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Clnb held their annual race meeting to-day in fine weather. There was a good At* tendance. Results:— Hack Hurdles—The Native 1, Waxy 2, Rosegrove 3. Also started: Whimper, Taupo, Tawhare, Rosclea. Won by * couple of lengths. Time, 2mia 56 l-ssec.
Licensed Victuallers' Steeplechase— Kaipara 1, Levent 2, Loopline 3. AkO started: Rapanui, Moonlight, Glenmore, Royal Gu#rd, Myra and Wareheel. Won by a Time, 4min. 37 I-ssee. Open Hack Handicap—Meroze 1, Can* orous 2, Euroco 3. These were the only starters. Won by a length. Time, Slsee. Hunters' Handicap—Sardonyx 1, Waterworks 2, Rocket 3. Also started:. Nightgown, Garrison, Rangitira,. Gold* fish. Won easily by three lengths. Time, 2min, 53sec. Open Back Handicap—Egotist 1, Canorous 2, Meroze 3. Won by half a length. Time, lmin. 6 l-ssec. Hunt Club Steeplechase—Cavil 1, Alsop 2, Eiro Atu 3. Also started: Commodore, Senora, Atawhai, Daisy Queen, Luxury, Loopline. Won by a length and a half. Time, smin. 31sec. Ladies' Bracelet—Taupo 1, Bon Oyr 2, Auratus 3. Sixteen started. Won easily by three lengths. Time, lmin. 53seo. Prince and Lngen Render with 11.0 are among the acceptances in the Hunters' Flat Handicap of the Taranaki Hunt Club's races, to be held on September 1, whilst Bachelor's Button (11.0) has accepted for the Ladies' Bracelet.
