MISS COLLINS WINS THE . CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The final of-the Ladies' Golf championship was played- this afternoon and resulted in Miss Collins (.Wellington) easily winning from Miss Wrasy (Manawatu) by 0 up and 4 to play. Both winner and runner-up were trained by Martin, ex-professional coach: for the Wellington Club. The winntr is a daughter of Dr. Collins, Wellington, who only took up golf seriously thi* year. LADIES' INTERCLUB MATCH. On the Ngamotu links on Tuesday an interclub match was played between teams representing the Ngamotu and Stratford Clubs. The match was won by Ngamotu by six games to one. In the following details Ngamotu players are mentioned first:— Miss Read lost to Miss Orbell. Mrs. Johns beat Miss Fussell. Miss Percy Smith beat Mrs. Raikes. Miss Fitzherbert beat Mrs. Robinson. Mrs. Gunson beat Miss Davies. Miss Hall beat Mrs. Glasgow. Miss Jones beat Mrs. Menzies.
At Ngamotu on Tuesday an eclectic match was played for a trophy given by Mrs. Paton. The match was won by Miss Fitzherbert. Following are the six best scores:—
