The 'Manchester Guardian declares that there is no unanimity in trade union circles in condemnation of the, Osborne judgment. The judgment is similar" to the Taff Vale decision. The paper iirges constitutional objections to reversing the Oaborne judgment, and favors the .payment, of members. The Yorkshire Post recalls the fact that Labor members refused to allow the United Irish. 'League to i>e classed with trade unions during the discussion on the Trades Disputes Bill. ,' The Westminster Gafcette says that the most formidable objection to reversing the Osborne judgment is the fact that levies are made to support- a* pledge and bind a Party outside the control of members of unions. 'The payment of mem-" bers and their election expenses, with voluntary levies, would fairly solve the question. The Daily News says that most of the Liberals endorse Colonel Seely's statement that something must be done to alter the Osborne decision. »
