THE UNOPPOSED RETURNS,
By Cable—Press Association.—Copyright Capetown, August 22. Twenty-nine Ministerialists and eight Unionists have been returned unopposed to the South African Parliament. A 'Unionist candidate is opposing Mr. Moor, Premier of Natal, but the other candidates in Natal have been chosen mainly on local and personal grounds. Mr. Moor, Premier of ffatal. speaking jit Estcourt, explained that he joined the Union Cabinet because General Botha waisi the only possible Premier who env joyed the confidence of the whites. He had ibeen Ratal's best friend in the convention. Mr. Moor advocated' total liquor prohibition for the natives and withhold-
ing the franchise from them, experience leading him to oppose its extension to them. He added that .the Government would not allow the Indians to overrun South Africa.
