MOTORISTS' LIABILITY.

WOMAN'S HEAVY CLAIM. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The case wherein Louisa Mary Aitcheson is suing James Martin Sampson for £IOOO damages for injuries received in a motor car accident was continued in 'the Supreme Court, Dunedin, to-day. A feature o'f the day's proceedings was the evidence' of Dr. Stanley Batchelor, Dr. Hunter, Dr. Marshall 'McDonald, Dr. Delatour and Dr. 'Newlands, who, being divided into two hostile camps, disagreed as to the extent of plaintiff's injuries and the time it would probably take her to recover. Mr. Adams, in support of the application for a non-suit, submitted that there had been no evidence of negligence on the part of . the occupants of the car. If there had been any evidence of that nature it was not the cause of the accident. The defendant was not answerable for any negligence in connection with the car. His 'Honor remarked thai; the last point was very important, and it might be desirable that it be pioved into the Court of Appeal.
