1 VACCINATION, j New Zealand has never had a smallpox i epidemic, so it does not know whether , | vaccination gives immunity. There certainly was an epidemic of vaccination a ' ; few years ago, when a soldier returned from the seat of war and was said to 1 have the disease. It was not, however, proved that he had the disease, but it was certainly proved that he had been vaccinated two years ibefore and also in his infancy.
