"ALADDIN." To-night at the Theatre Royal the curtain will rise at 7.45 on the first and only production here of J. C. Williamson's latest and greatest pantomime success "Aladdin." Mr. Williamson's advance army of mechanics and electricians held a very successiul lighting and scene rehearsal on Saturday, so that everything is already in absolute preparedness for to-night's production. Xhe company interpreting "Aladdin," vuich numbers over 150 people, is generally regarded as being the most powerful organisation of its kind ever sent on toui by the J. C. Williamson management, including as it does some of England's finest pantomimists. • The comedy acrobatic turn performed by Messrs. frice and Revost, will, it is stated, be a revelation to playgoers, and created quite a sensation in Auckland; and judging t>y the reports which have reached us Mr. William Hassen is aibout the best uonkey performer who has ever visited Uew Zealand. The leading • comedian, oi -he company is Mr. Harry Phydora, who will take the role of the Widow Twanicy, Mr. Phydora on a previous visit demonstrated by his splendid representation of "Mother Goose" that he is an artist of the highest order, and Mr. J. H. Campbell is also a favourite with local playgoers. Others in the. present caste who have on a former occasion appeared in New Plymouth are: Messrs.
