THE BRUSSELS FIRE.
ALL TRACES SOON REMOVED.

.The president and' executive of the (Exhibition, commenting on the great exaggeration of the damage, started by the local newspapers, state that all
traces of the fire will be removed in a fortnight, and the Belgian and British
sections will be re-opened. Tie re are widespread complaints of the carelessness and dishonesty of some of the watchmen, and the* inefficiency of the precautions against fire. Yielding to public opinion, the executive is forming a corps of 600 firemen, with new engines.
DE BEERS' DIAMONDS SAFE.

De Beers' larger safe was opened, and i the diamonds found in good condition. Even the velvet covered shelves are not damaged.
