AMUSEMENTS.

" ALADDIN." Everything iis>, it is stated, in absolute preparedness for the .scenic, mechanical and lighting rehearsal of "Aladdin," which takes place this afternoon, and on Monday night it is anticipated that playgoers will witness the most perfect representation of a pantomime ever staged by Mr. J. C. Williamson. Seldom in local theatrical history has more interest been taken in a theatrical evenit as the coming production of ''Aladdin." This ihas doubtless been created; by the reports of its excelling in spectacular glories and in other respects all its predecessors, including "Mother Goose," "Humpty Dumpty" and "Jack and Jill." "Aladdin" is described as a glittering spectacle of gold and flowers of rainbow colors, and sparkling lights, besides being replete with comic incidents and ear-haunting music. The mechanical effects, notably "the stupendous 'human electric flag," and "tin great balloon effect)," a.re pronounced real wonders of stage mechanism, while the sensational acrobatic turn of Messrs Price and Revost is said to be alone worth the price which is charged for admission. The comedy -supplied by Mr. William Hassan, the donkey performer, has been pronounced irresistible. Then there are graceful ballets 'to admire, radiant costumes to feast the eyes upon, weird and wonderful, bird and animal shapes whereat to smile and sometimes laugih. to distraction. Mr. Harry Phydora and Mr. J. M. Campbell have great opportunities in "Aladdin," of which theyj are credited with taking full advantage,] and keep the audience in a whirl ofj merriment throughout the evening. The plans and day sales are at Collier's.
