DUNEDIN RESOLUTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Nigtot At a meeting oi the Education Board to-day it was resolved that questions of filling positions of inspector, secretary and treasurer and of appointing organising inspectors be referred to a committee of the whole Board for consideration at next meeting. It was unanimously decided: 'That in the opinion of the Board justice will not be done to rural schools of the Dominion until distinct cleavage is made in the classification of country and city schools, and suitable regulation for instruction, examination and promotion of pupils and for appointment of teaoliers m respective classes of schools be inaugurated." The Board also carried the following motions: (1) "That it is desirable that legislation be introduced to enable those members of the education service m the Dominion, who have hitherto found themselves unable to take advantage of provisions of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, to be come members on payment of arrears of contributions, together with interest thereon ht the rate of 4 per cent: per annum without loss of back pay; (2) That legislation be introduced to provide that contributors to the teachers' sufleranuatiom fund who retired prior to October 16, 1908, and whose allowances are lower than those provided under the Act of 1908, sihall from date of passing of the amending act receive an allowance, calculated as under the Publi'' Service Classification and Superannuation 'Act, 1908."
