BOXING.
HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP , OF NEW ZEALAND, By Telegiajill;=PreßS Association. Westport, Last Night. The heavy weight boxing championship of New Zealand (with a purse of 65 sovs) was contested at Millerton fast night between James Mitchell (Millerton), the challenger and Picton (Christchurch), the holder. Mitchell won by knocking Picton out in the fifth round, after having, with the exception of the third round, all the best of the fight.
