QUARTER OF A MILLION CLAIM
AUCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD AND PUBLIC TRUSTEE.

Auckland, Last Night. The matter of the claim being made by the Auckland Education Board against the Public Trustee for a recently unearthed endowment worth about a quarter of a million pounds, was mentioned in chambers before Mr. Justice Edwards this morning. Mr. McVeagh stated that the Solici-tor-General was appealing on uehalt of the Public Trustee, and it was i»»ked that the case be set down for hearing on Friday, 20th inst.
His Honor: How long will the case last?
Mr. McVeagh thought the argument would at least occupy a couple of days. Mr. Parr mentioned that the dispute was over an endowment worth a quarter of a million.
His Honor: I hope the talk won't be in proportion to the amount involved. It was decided to fix the case for either Thursday 25th or Friday 26th, to suit the convenience of the SolicitorGeneral. I
