AMUSEMENTS.
BIOGRAPH PICTURE CO. The change of programme put on last night at the Theatre Royal by the above popular picture company proved to be an excellent bill of fare. There was a good attendance. The films are a particularly interesting set and a couple of hours was pleasantly and profitably spent in seeing them. •The Maid" is a beautifully coloured film treating of the days of Caesar. "The Way of the Cross," depicting the sufleiring of Christians at the ha'ads of Nero, is another splendid subject. In "Logging in Norway" the audience witnessed some very interesting scenes iu the timber industry of that country. A very entertaining film is that of the "Grand National Steeplechase of 1910" showing the whole progress of that sporting event. A subject that*is worth going a long way to see is "Modern Training." In this a number of cockatoo* and other birds and animals are exhibited in a wonderful lot of tricks. Of comic sub jects there is a good sprinkling, "Am I Mad" being excessively humorous. Mr.| Will Diamond, the vocal actor, made his "rst appearance last evening and met: with a very hearty reception for his rendition of "On the Road to Kimberly" ' and "The Way Englishmen Die." He| had to respond for both items and evenl then the audience was a veritable "Oliver Twist" in its vigorous "asking for more." The orchestra supplied a I first-class programme of music. I
