INDIANS IN CALIFORNIA.
GOVERNMENT MAY TAKE ACTION. By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright London, August 10. Reuter's Calcutta correspondent states that Indians in California, have written to their relatives that they have found a good land, and five ship-loads started in July, via Hong Kong, mostly Punjabi Mohammedans and Sikhs. Many more are preparing to follow, but the American Consul-General is of opinion they will be refused admission at 'Frisco.
