Walter Brooking, the aviator who has been making some sensational ascents in America, received injuries which ended fatally at Ashbury IBark, in New York, when alighting from a flight. He made desperate efforts to avoid the crowd, but the machine overturned, and many were injured as- well as himself.

ACCIDENT IN GERMANY. ' Received August 11, 9.30 p.m. Berlin, August 11. While biplaning, the steering apparatus of a machine driven by Macar Hein broke, and the aeroplane foil 240 feet, turning over four times. Heim was rendered unconscious.
