FIRES.
A HIGH SCHOOL DESTROYED.. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. Last -Night. The main building of the Paeroa District High school was completely destroyed by fire at 4.80 o'clock this morning. There was an inadequate water pressure, Ibut the infant department was saved. The teachers are heavy losers. The building was worth about £IOOO. The Education Department carries its own insurance. The cause of the fire is a mystery.
