DR. JAMESON' AT DURBAN. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received August 10, 9.40 p.m. Durban, August 10. Dr. Jameson, speaking at Durban, combating Natal's objection to join the Unionists, declared that Natal was right not to want racialism, which was one cause of hesitation, and added that the Raid had been badly carried out, and was thoroughly deserving of punishment. Nevertheless it was a step in the direction of Cecil Rhodes' idea of federation.
