BOILER EXPLODES
MANY PEOPLE ASPHYXIATED. By Cable—Pies? Association.—Copyright Received August 11, 12.25 a.m. Lisbon. August 10. A boiler {-cntnining sulphuric acid exploded at .Elrubite. The blazing acid caused other tanks to explode, and the burning chemicals flooded the street and filled the neighbourhood with asphyxiating gases. Five were killed and ll' seriously injured. The large chemical works were destroyed.
