LAWN TENNIS.
OTAGO AND ITS DELEGATES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the committee of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association, a letter was received from 'Mr. E..Salmond, one of the Association's delegates of the New Zealand Association, explaining his reasons for voting against direct instructions to support the holding of a New Zealand championship in Dunedin, It was stated 'by Mr. Black (president of the Association) that at the last meeting of the New Zealand Association three delegates representing Otago had voted directly against specific instructions, in spite of the fact that he challenged them before the vote was taken, and one delegate was hostile to him all through the meeting. It was unanimously resolved that the three delegates in question (Messrs. Malcolm Ross, E. Salmond and J. A. B. Howe) have their appointments as delegates to the New Zealand Association cancelled, as it was considered useless to nave men representing a province who disregarded its wisheß.
