HOCKEY
THE CHAMPIONSHIP 'FINAL. The final match in the Taranaki Hockey Association's championship series will be played on Thursday at the Recreation Sports Ground between the New Plymouth and Hawera clubs. These teams have won in their divisions, as they did last year, and are now keenly preparing for the final contest. Last year .the final match was played at Hawera, and was won by the home team by three goals to two. The New Plymouth team hopes this year to wrest the championship from them, and, as the ground promises to be in capital order, a fast and strenuous game w'-I l>e witnessed, ij^d
