A few days ago the girl's parents, it is alleged, received a telegram purporting to come from iter, and asking that a considerable sum of money should be telegraphed to her. The parents became suspicious, and communicated with the daughter, who denied having sent for the money, and the matter was placed in the hands of the police, with the result that the young man in question has been arrested in Wellington.
