WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY
OPPOSED BY SHIPOWNERS. By Gable.—Press Association.—Copyright tendon, August 8. Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has decided to oppose the Bill making the installation of wireless apparatus compulsory on all ships. The Glasgow Steam Ship Owners Association alleges that the Bill is unnecessary, and will impose great hardships on purely cargo steamers. The measure, they say, is merely in the interests of wireless companies.
