WAREA. (Fron Our Own Correspondent.) • The fourth euchre patty in aid of the hall fund was held last Wednesday night last. There was 'but a small attendance. The prizes were won by Mr. Rodgers and Mrs. Rodgers. Supper was handed round, and several dances were indulged in." ' The Newa.ll road new school is just about completed, and an entertainment will be held in it to celebrate its opening on August 18th. A wedding was celebrated here on Wednesday last, the parties being Mr. William Porter West and Miss Gladys Jeken Clothier. , Mr. Alex. Muir, who purchased Mrs. Judge's farm, took possession on the Ist inst. The ladies of the district called a meeting for last Friday for the purpose of making arrangements for their annual ball. The day was Wet and tihe meeting was postponed. Mr. J. Burgess, of this district, has purchased 1 a purebred Ayrshire bull from Canterbury. The animal comes from the best milking strain. -. Farmers are getting busy. The cows have started to come in, and calves can be 'heard blaring in'all directions. The farmers are keeping calves this year, in contradistinction to the last two or three years, when most of the calves were killed, as the skins brought more than a calf. The Farmers' Union are talking of holding their annual ball on the 24th inst. The iNsewall road creamery, which has been closed down for the winter months, will re-open on Thursday morning.
