MANAWATU RACING CLUB. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, Monday. At a meeting of the committee of the Manawatu Racing Club on Saturday night a resolution was carried eliminating hurdle races from, .the, Christmas meeting, on the grounds of the hardness of the going, the number of accidents, and the necessity of uniformity of hurdles. The resolution will have effect till uniform hurdles l are adopted by the conference. It was also decided that the Wang-anui Jockey Club be asked to call a meeting of a-1 clubs in its metropolitan area, with a view to mutually arranging for a possible reduction of days of racing to comply with the desire of Parliament.
