MRr P. E. ATKINSON. 1 The death is announced of Mr. F. & - Atkinson, for fifteen yeare clerk of tpe ■■ Moa Boad Board. Mr. Atkinson had held ' > many public positions; including that of director of the Moa Co-operative Daily Company, and director of the Moa Pawners' Union, of which he was one of , the founders. The deceased lady was the widow of the late Mr. R. Stebbing Sad- v. ler, and was a sister of the late Mrs. McTaggart Mrs. Sadler came to the ; Dominion in 1880 with her two daughters, her husband and son hairing preceded 1 her. For some years she Hved i' at "Scotlands," on the Hospital road, ' and upon the death of Mr. Sadler she ? came to live m New Plymouth. A few - months ago she went to live at Oakura, and was in fairly good health, eo that | her death on Saturday night came as a shock.

MRS. VALINTINE. Mrs. Valintine, wife of Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, Inspector-General of Hot- : pitals, died at Lepperton on Sunday.
