The Board of Control has informed iliir Sun that it cannot accept its offer to guarantee the South African cricket] team's expenses. Previous to receiving the Board's rep"y the "Sun" interviewed the secretary, and on the strength of the statement that the Board did not mind who gave the guarantee, and would be agreeable to receive the team, cabled to Mr. Abe Bailey and the South African Cricket Council to the effect that the Board would not give a guarantee, but had no objection ! to the "Sun's" and would arrange tour if accepted.
