Short an<l faulty declined 10 per cent. Fine greasy crossbred* wore unchanged, but inferiors advanced 5 per cent. Scoureds and slips, j par to Id cheaper. Lambs declined 51 per cent. The tone of the market is fheerfu!. and the prospects good. The 1 United States' trade is improving. The Moeraki clip's top price was 13Vt'd, i and the average 12y 9 d. 1 During the series 81,500 bales "Vere j sold for the Home market, 41.700 for the Continental market, and 300 for the American market. An aggregation of 31,000 bales was held over.
