PALMERSTON HIGH SCHOOL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston Nortli, Last Night. The Palmerston School Board to-night approved olf plans for a new' High. School building to replace that burned down by Powelka. The plans provide for a brick building containing nine class rooms, including a science room and other class rooms. In addition there are a lavatory, storeroom and offices, and it is proposed to endeavor to include a school hall. OUTRAGE ON DAIRY HERD. Auckland, Yesterday. A sensation has been caused in ihe Manuirewa district by an outrage upon the dairy herd of C. H. Lupton, farmer. Four cows have died, and an examination of their carcases shows that all had apparently been poisoned. Two of the animals were also stabbed, but for the evidence of stabbing the conclusion might have been held that had been eaiting some poisonous fodder. LEVIN THE SALUBRIOUS. Levin, Yesterday. A report la'telv submitted to the Levin Borough Councii by the Health Department Inspectors shows that in the three months ended June, not one case 01 infectious disease was reported in the borough, which has about 1800 population. SNOWFALL IN DUNEDTN. Dunedin, Yesterday. Snow fell here for the first time this year to-day. The fall was pretty heavy. OBNOXIOUS TOLL ABOLISHED. Rotorua, Yesterday.
