German advices from Haefa, in Syria, state that Unger's murderers have purchased revolvers and' arc addressing secret meetings and stirring hatred against the Germans in order to mitigate their own punishment and provoke disorders. The situation is serious. On the 20th instant Fritz Unger, a German expert who appeared as a witness in a native lawsuit at Haefa, in Swift, was shot dead by the adherents of the defeated litigant in the presence of the German Consul and a Turkish magistrate.
