WELLINGTON DEFEATS WAIRARAPA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. j Wellington, Last Night, Wellington hockey representatives on Saturday successfully defended the Challenge Shield for the third time this season, defeating Wairarapa by 6 goals to 3. The game was played under wretcned conditions, the ground being soaked and rain falling. Wairarapa, at one stage, were two goals ahead, but the superior combination of Wellington forwards told its , tale. In the first spell Fisher and Minnett scored for Wairarapa, and C. Strack for Wellington. In the second half, C. Strack (2), Loudor and Parton scored for Wellington, and Reid for Wairarapa. The home team thus won bv 6 goals to 3. WELLINGTON v. WAIRARAPA JUNIORS.
