THE CREW SUFFOCATED. By Cable.—Press Association.-'Copyrigkt Received July 24, 5.10 p.m. Paris, July 22. The enquiry into the loss of the submarine Pluviose indicates that a fire had broken out owing to a. short circuit before the collision occurred. The crew were suffocated and not drowned. The Pluviose was probablj not under control at the moment of tht collision.
