THE NEW CRUISERS. 3y Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Ottawa, July 23. Canada is enquiring for British tenders for the construction of four warships of the improved Bristol class ami l six destroyers. The cruiser Xiobe will serve as a training cruiser for the Canadian Atlantic ports. The Admiralty lends to Canada active service ratings, including a skilled instructional staff and the necessary officers for the safe conduct of the vessel. The remainder of the complement will consist of fleet reservists. Similar steps will be taken in connection with the cruiser Rainbow, which is to be stationed in British Columbia and participate in fisheries protection. Both vessels v.'.'ll ultimately become parent ships for destroyers.
