Mr. Monk has quitted the Conservative party and will co-operate witn Mr. Bourassia in seeking to elect a group at Quebec pledged against Imperial enterprises. A meeting at Saint Eustache resolved that the Imperial policy of centralisation would generate misunderstandings, rivalries, and conflicts, and threaten the Empire's peace and unity. The meeting denounced the spending of millions on militarism in Canada instead, of on agriculture and means of transportation.
