No. 2 bore is still flowing. Good progress is being made with reaming and putting in the casing at No. 1 bore, and also at sinking No. 3 bore. The staff were engaged yesterday in re-erecting its derrick at No. 4 bore, o» the Whiteley itownship. At a directors' meeting held last evening a deputation consisting of the chairanan, deputy chairman and Mr. G. E. Bellringer, was appointed to proceed to Wellington on Wednesday morning to interview the Premier and Minister of Mines, with a view to ■ ascertaining wilt assistance the Government wilt give towards the erection of a refinery.
