INGLEWOOD NEWS

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Druids held their fortnightly social on Tuesday evening, with the usual large attendance of dancers. The orchestra were responsible for excellent music, which was much appreciated, as was the excellent supper which was handed round.

Owing to the small attendance of members at the Debating Society on Wednesday, no meeting was held. It is to be hoped that the next meeting, a parliamentary election, will serve to attract a better attendance.

The Catholic social held on Thursday was not so well attended as such functions usually are. The weather was largely responsible for the small attendance, but those present deserved the benefit, as the floor was not too crowded to make dancing burdensome. Mr. H. Cottier and family supplied music.

The Rev. Cruickshank conducted the Anglican services at Inglewood on Saturday.

"Water, water everywhere," and also a large proportion of mud and slush are to be found on Inglewood's streets. The recent rains are responsible for their present bad state.
