NGAMOTU CLUB.
Golfers were favored with ideal weather on Saturday afternoon. Thirtytwo players competed for the. St. Andew's Cross competition, and the final round for F. G. Hood's prize. The following are the six best scores for the St. A.ndrew'3 Cross. (W. C. Weston's gross score of 81 for the eighteen holes is the best medal score returned this season): —-
E. S. Bayly won F. C. Hood's prize with a score of 186 (handicap 30, nett score 15G) for thirty-six holes, W. C. Weston 172 (handicap 14, nett 148) second, and H. Fraser 206 (handicap 46, nett 160) third. • .
The following is the draw for the championship:—First round: u. Gray plays C. Elliott, H .B. Armitage piays A. H. Glasgow, L. Hansen plays I'. S. Holme. Second round: J. Paton plays P: D. McCord, A. H. Steeds plavs R. Gray. W. Bewley plays W. C.. Weston, C. H. Burgess plays the winner of Gray and Elliott, the winner of Armitage and Glasgow plays the winner of Hansen and Johns, A. Bewley plays E. Bayly T. C. MacKay plays T. Southall and H. C. Wright plays H. H. Ward. ' The following is the draw of the junior scratch competition:—Matthews plays Rev. Evans, Bary plavs Stow, Freeman plays Hutchen, Fraser plays Easther, Haslam plays Weston, Gray piays Benbow Rev. Chapman plays Burgess; otandish a bve.
