Last .light the steamer WoinrafeU. which is not due at Sydney till the end of the month, called at Cape Moreton, and reported having passed the Waddon's lifeboat. The message was very meagre.

THE REPORT DENIED. Received July 18, 0.15 a.m. Sydney, Last Night, The steamer Wongafcll, intercepted on the coast, denied the report about the Waddon's lifeboat, and stated that it had not seen nor heard of it. The previous signal must have been misread.
