RESOLUTIONS IN A LOCAL LODGEJ At the weekly meeting of the Egmont Lodge, 1.0. G.T., last night, Bro. J. C. Legg, C.T., presiding, the following resolutions were passed:— That we demand a special vote 01 Do. minion prohibition, with full provision for giving effect thereto, if confirmed. That this special vote be taken on the day of the next general election. That the question be-submitted to the electors on a separate paper of distinctive color, to be kept and counted separately. That we demand the bare majority, and all amendments dealing with the loeral law affirmed by the Convention of June, 1900, amongst which are the abolition of bottte licenses, no breweries in no-license areas, no beer depots within ten miles of no-license electorate, and [generally to secure proper and effective administration. The following additional resolution was adopted, to be pushed vigorously in the event of the present Parliament not acceding to the demands sent out in the four previous resolutions: That the executive in consultation with the Consultative Committee be empowered to draft a Bill on the above lines and submit same to the Government, and to organise the party throughout the Dominion in support of the Bill.
