Wellington, 'Last Night. The; Management Committee of the ■ New Zealand Rugby Union met to-night. Buller Union forwarded an appeal by a player against his disqualification for bad language. The sentence which had been passed was one of three years' suspension. The appeal was dismissed. A player appealed against a decision of the West Coast Union in refusing to remove the disqualification for life placed upon him for having used bad language on two occasions in 1008. He is to be informed that the matter cannot be considered unless the West Coast Union has ant recommendation to make. SOUTH TARAXAKI RESULTS. Saturday's South Taranaki matches resulted as follows r Seniors.—Okaia'wa beat Hawera by 17 points to 5. Okaiawa had much the better of the game in the first half, when tries were scored By Roberts, McCallum, King,' and Crocker, but none of them were converted. In the second spell the play was much more even. W. Baker scored for Okaiawa in the second half, Crowley converting: For Hawera, Whittington got over and Bernard converted. Waimate defeated Pntea by 11 points to nil. IPrince scored two tries, Franklin converting one, and Christie scored an unconverted try. Juniors.—Hawera beat Waimate, 0 to 3; and Kaponga and ■Xormanby drew with 3 all.
Thirds—Patea (12) bent Okaiawa (3)
There will be no cup fixtures tomorrow, on account of the TaranakiManawatu representative match at Hawera.
