AUSTRALIAN-PACIFIC TRADE
SIR JAMES MILLS' IXTEXTIONS. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received July 12, I a.m. • • ■ Sydney, Last Night. The Makura's files contain Sir James Mills' Vancouver statement of the indention of his company to build two new steamers to run on the Pacific coast. He could not say definitely whether more than three steamers would be operated on this route. It all depended upon the amount of business offering. He admitted that arrangements were being made Vith the Matson Steamship Company to transfer passengers at Honolulu for San Francisco, and considered this would be a great convenience to Australian passengers wishing to go to San Francisco.
