WORLD'S MILE CHAMPIONSHIP. By Cable.—Press Aissiociation.—Copyriglut Received July 11, 12.35 a.m. London, July 9. The swimming mile championship eventuated at Crystal Palace. At the quarter-mile Battersby led by a yard, and at the lvalf-mile Beaurepaire was level. A furlong from home Beaurepaire took the lead, and won easily in 24min 39 2-ssec. Taylor was third.
