The Gisborne Racing Club held its meeting to-day in beautiful weather, and there was a good attendance. The totalisator handled £45G3, as against £4027 for the corresponding day of last year. Eight bookmakers were licensed at £ls IDs each. Results:— i

Hurdles Stakes, one mile and threequarters.—Paisano, 11.9, 1; Sabre, 9.4, 2. Won easily by ten lengths. Whakarewa fell. Time, 3min 37sec.

Maiden Hack, four furlongs, weight 9st.—Masonic, 1; Santiago, 2; Scorch, 3. A. great race. Won by a nose. Time, 53sec.

Flying Handicap, six furlongs.—lllustrious, 9.4, 1; Dazzling, 10.0, 2; Sublime, 9.3, 3. 'Won by a length. Time, lmin 23sec.

Gisborne Park Steeplechase, three miles.—Te Arai, ILK), 1-j Reservoir, 11.3, 2; Waiohiki, 9.7, 3. Won by several lengths. Time, 7min 37sec. Hack Flat, seven furlongs. Master Stead,'9.o, 1; Caruso, 9.12, 2; Stourton, 10.10, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 36sec.

Trial Steeplechase, two miles. — King Hippo, 10.13, 1.; Nogi, 11.0, 2; Te Kainui, 10.3, 3. Whatashot fell when leading at the mile. Won by a length and a-hatf. Time, 4min 9sec.

Winter Oats, one mile and a distance. —Spate, ,9.5, 1; Fort William, 9.7, 2; Lamsdorff, 10.4, 3. Won by two lengths. Julian rode Te Arai, Master Stead, and Masonic.
