Star v. Clifton, at Waitara. Eltham v. Inglewood, at Inglewood. j —Second Juniors.— Tukapa v. Stratford, at Stratford. • Star v. Clifton, at New Plymouth. Eltham at Eltham. Star and l . Clifton seniors should, pro- 1 vide a good ; match. The local men nave improved a! lot lately, and to-day they' will play a strong fifteen. The Waitara men will have to play carefully to main-1 tain their pride of place in the championship! competition. ; The greatest interest centres in the j meeting of the Tukapa and Stratford! fifteens. They are at the top of the ladder, in company with Clifton. In the first round' a drawn game was played at Western Park, ,when Stratford was minus one or two of its best forwards. With Mynott and Stohr away, and Mulvey (Hynott's substi-j tutes) incapacitated, the chances of the big men in the red and blaek jerseys looked rosy indeed.. But now the Tu-I kapa Club has made arrangements so 1 that, bar accident, the two All Blacks will .take the field this afternoon. They arrived in Wellington about 1 o'clock yesterday, and Mr. W. D. Webber, secretary of the Club, received a lelegiam from Dr. Leatham during the afternoon stating they had landed, and were leaving for Wanganui by motor car. Few doubted that they would respond to the call. Opinions differ as to whether they will be fit for playing a match' when they reach Stratford by train this afternoon, but so long as "Simon" has his head on he'll be a tower of strength.. With these 'two shining lights in the team the B'.ues - will play with greater confidence. _ ' The teams are as follow: I Stratford. —Abbott (2), Haiknexs, Smith, Young/; Murphy Melville, Boon, James, Marchant, Bonner, 'Cocker, Cameron, Anderson.: ; v
Tukapa —Biyde, Joll, Steele, Disvidsoii, Fairbrottier, McAllum, Wardi 1 Ma- j theson, Loveridge (2), Thompson, Jones,I Webster, Clarice arid another. Neither Mynott nor Stlohr is in the selected fifteen. !• Tukapa first!, juniors will be represented against Stpfttford in the' Western Park by: Addison, 'Honevfield, Stannering, McGinn, Goker,. 'Julian. Sturmey,' Smith, CSray, Allen; Kilgour, and others. The following" will represent Star seniors in their match with Clifton at the Rec. tHis afternoon:—Mai one, Pfaiikuch, Hill, Whitaker (2), Bro"-n. Averv, Lealand, PeaTf'e, Woods, Cocker, Bellringer, and Simmers.
