THE DAVIS CUP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Sydney, July 5. Th« Tennis Association considered England's demand for a guarantee of £BOO in connection with the Davis Cup contest, and decided to reply. offering the losers one-third of the profits of matches in other States, in addition to their share o? the preliminary guarantee, the total amount to be not less than £6OO, there to. be at least three approved players. The Association is offering America the same terms.
