PIANO-PLAYING RECORD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. James S, Stirton last night broke the world's record for endurance in pianoplaying, when he completed 62y s hours' continuous playing with both hands. Mr. Payne, of the Thompson-Payne pictures,, in connection with which the pianist has been appearing, presented Stirton with a- gold medal. The previous record was G2% hours.

THE WRECKED LAUDERDALE. Wellington, Last Night. . Captain McArthur, managing director of the Maoriland Steamship Company, has received a cablegram from Lloyds' containing instructions to sell the steamer Lauderdale, now stranded near Grcymouth.
